My name is Marie Curie. I made this homepage as an assignment for my IS101 course with Mr. Albert Wu. I took IS101 to fill the days during my retirement. This reminded me of my time at Université de Paris. |

Outside of digital literacy, my academic pursuits are physics and chemistry. I am the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize and the first double recipient. I am proud of my daughter Irène for following in my footsteps. |

Henri Becquerel’s discovery of radioactivity inspired me and my husband Pierre to further investigate this phenomenon. We extracted two new elements: polonium and radium, both are more radioactive than uranium. |

Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained. |
